2020. What a year. Globally, W/we experienced loss and crisis almost daily. Many of U/us still are. It brought to the forefront how helpless many of U/us feel both dealing with emergencies and helping those in a state of emergency. A few years before 2020 smacked U/us all around, Sir DaddyDaun and slavegirl j went through a major crisis of T/their own. In the process of being forced on the rollercoaster that is cancer, T/they learned some key things about organizing, utilizing, and receiving help. Please join International Master/slave 2017/2021 Sir DaddyDaun and slavegirl j in a vulnerable conversation on how to be better prepared and get your needs met in a crisis.

Effective Communication 103 will address one of the biggest aspects of communication, having the ability to listen. We will look at the difference between Real and Pseudo listening and the reasons we do each. We will then look at the 12 blocks to effective listening. Addressing each one individually and showing what they look like in different situations. Learning to recognize them to then allow us to overcome them and become more effective communicators.

We're going to explore leather culture and consider what a modernized, culturally conscious model might look like that fosters benefit for all. Anyone who feels they have a place in an inclusive womens/womxn community welcome. Allies are also welcome but we will focus on the voices of women. (This is a conversational and inquiry heavy class).

This class will explore the vital role apologies, forgiveness, and self-forgiveness play within a power exchange dynamic. Regardless of which the side of the slash one is on, addressing hurt and harm within the Dynamic can help maintain, heal, and rebuild trust and confidence with ourselves, our person(s) and the Dynamic.

Drawing on our 28 years of living in a Dynamic, we will explore how apologies can take place in a Dynamic, the elements of an effective apology, strategies for creating effective communication protocols to support the giving and receiving of an apology, and the function and value of forgiveness, including self-forgiveness, in supporting the Dynamic.
