Hey folks, Master Luke here, wanted to address our class and a comment I made in response to a supportive and kind comment, and the general defensive interpretation of our class. My intention was absolutely not to call anyone out, but more so to address a thought process that we already had planned to address. Admittedly, my tone was overly aggressive and I have been struggling with tone and leveling that within my voice as of late. Our tone, in genuine earnest, was colored by some of our experiences the past few weeks, and we have been struggling and had considered canceling the class. But the content was important and we felt that even if we were struggling, we needed to present our content because it is necessary. We are emotionally compromised due to said personal struggles, the tech issues we were having, and we allowed that to bleed into our tone in ways that may not be the most professional, and we apologize sincerely for any harms that were caused in that regard as well. We hope you can understand, and that any harms caused we can alleviate. We never want to make anyone feel like their thoughts and ideologies are unsafe with us, as that is incredibly counter to our goals widespread, and we never want to disempower folks from speaking their truths.
