Making the Switch: Finding Your Flow

In our traditionally binary D/s community, Switches have unique challenges in finding and expressing their often fluid authentic identities and desires. Whether you switch inside your relationships, have different dynamics in different relationships, or you’re just starting to experiment with the pleasures of the “other side of the slash,” learning to surf your own energetic flow is essential to getting all your switchy needs met and letting your full self come out to play. In this interactive workshop, we’ll discuss and practice tools for you and your partners to flip your energetic switch, occupy the headspace you desire, and play in the role of your choice with confidence. You absolutely can enjoy All The Things!

(Intensive) Radical Ownership Intensive. Independent and Interdependent Ownership.

Part 1 – Radical Ownership of Yourself

Before we consider owning others or offering ourselves to ownership, we must first own and take accountability of ourselves and our behavior in a more profound and radical way: radical ownership. In this class, Devyn Stone and his property, Guan-Xuan, will introduce attendees to radical ownership as a means of accepting and taking accountability for all parts of ourselves in order to gain authority for self-control. Attendees can expect a thorough discussion of what radical ownership means, how to apply its principles to themselves, and opportunities to explore what radical ownership of themselves looks like and how it can be developed further. Any persons, regardless of dynamic status or sides of the slash, are welcome to this discussion.

Part 2 – Radical Ownership as a Dynamic Style

Now, we can take radical ownership a step further and imbue its principles into our authority transfer and power exchange dynamics. In this second course of Devyn Stone and Guan-Xuan’s Radical Ownership series, attendees engage in discussion and reflection on what radical ownership consists of when applied to a dynamic style. In other words, how can we take the principles of radical self-ownership and apply it to power exchange and authority transfer? How do we transfer accountability from one entity to another? This class is designed to provoke thinking, reflection, and encourage dialogue. Any persons, regardless of dynamic status or sides of the slash.

(Intensive) Durable Dynamics: Sustaining Long-term Authority-Based Relationships

Whether your relationship is Master/slave, Dominant/submissive, or some other form of hierarchical authority, you face similar issues in your relationship over time: How do you keep it going, keep it from getting stale, and keep it sustainable in the long run?

In this intensive we’ll examine these relationships from many different angles, with the goal of helping you find strategies that will help your dynamic endure. We’ll share our experiences, ask you for yours, and discuss what’s worked (and what has not). Best if you attend with those in your relationship so you can learn and plan together. Power dynamic relationships are complex, joyous, fulfilling, and take work. This interactive intensive will help you find mindful ways to look at your relationship differently, and set you up for long-term success.

Kinking and Feeling

Most of us have heard the phrase “sit with your feelings,” a vague instruction often used in the mental health field. However, we are not always taught how to do that, or the tools are too normative and inaccessible. In this workshop, Stabbie aims to combine their lived experience and mental health training to explore ways to utilize kink as a conduit for sitting with our feelings. We will look at the different mindsets we create in play, the tools we already have, and how they are applicable to understanding and navigating our emotions. The experiences shared throughout this workshop are from a bottoming and right side of the slash perspective.

Switchinatrix - Defining Your Own Roles

Being a switch or versatile allows us to have so many different roles. Sometimes even combining some of those roles at once. This class is an exploration into authentically celebrating your “unconventional” self, as well as different identities we have.

This class is aimed at people in all roles & dynamics, not just our switchy friends & partners. We will discuss how these expansive roles work within polyamory & how we can fulfill different needs for partners.

Normalizing Failure

Sir DaddyDaun and slavegirl j have spent the last 7+ years traveling together in a space that’s about the size of the average home bathroom. There are no doors to slam when angry, no separate spaces to be in T/their own feelings. Despite sharing the good, bad and ugly, the common perception is what T/they have is #couplegoals. The truth is through being a new couple, titleholding, health crisis and your average partner squabble, T/they have both done each other damage. T/they know it’s all a part of being human but dang if it doesn’t feel like you are the only one hurting this way. Join T/them in a vulnerable conversation and be reminded you have not failed, only stumbled.

This sucks, why am I turned on?! Suffering Fetish

Have you ever felt like “masochist” as a label just didn’t quite resonate with you, despite playing with pain? Or you’ve been aroused by doing that one thing you hate for a partner and just couldn’t find the words for why. Then maybe your fetish is for suffering. Suffering can include more than just pain play, maybe you really hate being forced to stand still, or use self-degrading language, or folding laundry. In this class, Carter discusses various types of suffering, negotiation, aftercare, and exploring your boundaries with this type of play. Let’s talk about navigating through what can be painful, nasty, bitter, miserable, and ultimately, incredibly hot.

Sissification & Gender Affirmation

For many other gender expansive folx & femmes, sissification & forced feminization can be a safe outlet to explore, as well as affirm our gender identity. Playing with forced feminization & sissification allows for the possibility of positive reinforcement of our femme identity. This class navigates sissification within a healthy, gender affirming light. We will discuss ways to affirm your gender while playing with high femme energy while avoiding negative or phobic tropes.

Active Choice for the right side of the slash

This workshop aims to explore and discuss what active versus passive choice looks like for those on the right side of the slash. We will explore how we choose to actively show up and be present in our dynamics when it comes to topics like surrender, suffering, and will-alignment; as well as identify barriers that get in the way, and possible solutions. This is meant to be a space to encourage continued self-exploration, identifying our wants, and understanding our relationship with ourselves so that we can actively choose to be in the dynamics we want.

Here W/we Go Again, UGH!

There is comfort in having your relationship move from honeymoon stage to everyday life. Many of the communication pitfalls have been avoided or filled in over the years. However, years of an established relationship also bring with it the issue of one phrase or fight carrying all those years of baggage. It doesn’t matter that there are protocols or methods of de-escalation: when they say that thing, you’re ready to throw down. Join International Master/slave 2017/2021, Sir DaddyDaun and slavegirl j, for an emotional (and of course hilarious) conversation about how they continue to work through this exact issue.

Metamorphosis: Unlearning Sabotaging Behaviors

Hierarchical relationships require behaviors that support consensual inequality. This goes against how many of us were raised. Modern Western society teaches us to value egalitarian relationships, although the relationship models many of us are familiar with do not place a premium on the honest and open communication needed to support these relationships. In this class we’ll examine the types of attitudes and behaviors that can get in the way of developing and nurturing our hierarchical relationships. We’ll talk about how important language is in expressing the power dynamics we want to have, and how to unlearn the patterns of behavior that work against us. The class will include lecture, audience participation and small group exercises. The goal is to leave you with practical strategies for improving communication and behaviors to improve alignment in your relationships.

The Passive Master and the Stubborn slave

There are a million and one beautiful ways a Master slave relationship can function and look. Boiled down to the bare bones, this dynamic can often be described like this: Master says do and the slave does. What happens when the Master absolutely does not like to outright say “Go do”? Or when the slave responds “Yes but…” How can these two core personality types do the M/s dance? For International Master and slave 2017/2021 Sir DaddyDaun and slavegirl j, it has been years of ongoing learning, talking and aligning of wills that has kept the dynamic going strong. Join T/them as T/they share the raw, often funny, tales of a passive Master and a stubborn slave.

When it’s Not Just Fun and Games: Playing on the Dark Side

What about when it’s not “fun”? What about when it does not feel “good”? Is it Ok for a Top to inflict pain purely for their own sadistic pleasure without considering the needs or wants of their bottom? If a bottom accepts this are they abused and in need of an intervention? Is training just about teaching or can it be about remaking and forging the person into what you want them to be? Can “this is for your own good” be an acceptable reason? In this workshop we explore the darker side of S/M and D/s that does not fit the rhetoric generated for the vanilla world. Where safe, sane and consensual are not a creed but instead one way of looking at things. Where punishment is not funishment, where tears shed are not always from happiness or release and where there are not always safewords.
