Service from a Low Empathy Submissive

Empathy is defined as the ability to understand and share in the feelings of another person. Low empathy can stem from genetics, trauma, brain injuries, mental health conditions, and more. Regardless of the reason for this trait it is one of the most stigmatized traits in mental health. But is a strong sense of empathy really necessary to be a good person? What about to be a good submissive? In this class we will explore the necessity for empathy or lack thereof , define the differences between sympathy / empathy/compassion, discuss the place of empathy in service and discuss ways to anticipate needs and deliver quality service if empathy is not a lens you come from. As someone that identifies as low empathy I'm looking forward to sharing what I've learned, the tips and tricks that work for me, and holding a discussion space to get more ideas from others.

Presenter Bio:

A social work student with a love for teaching and a passion for power dynamics, Rose is thrilled to have this opportunity to share their knowledge and learn from their community. Rose is a mixed-race, queer, collared, polyamorous switch who has been exploring kink both publicly and privately for several years.
