Service and Propertyhood for Single Servants

So much of the focus of BDSM education is around being partnered, or being in a relationship. How do you engage with this education, though, if you’re not? How do you affirm an identity that is inherently bound to the presence of another? In this class, we will explore service as identity rather than as a role within a relationship. This will include discussions of some philosophies of single life, from choosing to remain unpartnered to exploring the pitfalls of finding a counterpart that are specific to the service-oriented. Whether it’s because you’re new to the scene, unsure if your identity is valid without a counterpart, or recently single, this class will hopefully help you reflect on ways that service can remain a present and meaningful part of your life.
