Many of us were raised in religious households and with religious beliefs. Very few if any of those religions have encouraged WIITWD as being normal or acceptable. It has hindered many from embracing ‘their dark side’. Many that entered into this lifestyle, did so through Hedonism. The things that we fantasized about made us hot and wet and we couldn’t wait to try them. We indulged in activities that for many led to mind-blowing kinky sex. However, for many who haven’t or can’t erase those old religious tapes; they have caused feelings of guilt, shame and even unworthiness. We were taught to separate our religion from our sexuality and at no time should they intersect. However, during our self exploration journey, some of us began to realize that our experiences surpassed just the physical and mental and at times reached into our very soul. This discussion is created to help free us from those beliefs that keep us bound and to open up the wondrous possibilities to our own self discovery. We hope to acknowledge and explore that there can be a spiritual aspect to what it is that we do.
