Love your Gender and I Will Love Mine: A Transmasculine Perspective on Gender Journeys

This is a workshop and discussion based class. I will share some of my gender journey, and I invite folks to bring their questions and gender journey stories to share. This class is a safe space for folks to ask all the questions they have, even those not necessarily “politically correct” questions. I also encourage people who are on their own gender exploration to come and briefly share their experiences and stories.

Some of the topics that may be covered include:

• What does “Transgender” mean?
• What is “cisgender?”
• You misgendered someone; now what do you do?
• What’s the big deal if I misgender you?
• What words do you use for body parts?
• What to all those different letters mean? (FTM, MTF, AMAB, AFAB, LGBTQIA+)
• How to be an ally ?

My goal is, through education and the sharing of our stories, we will become a stronger community; and to bring a sense of celebration to this journey we are all learning about and learning from. The time for celebration is now!
